Small Businesses as a Tool to Retain and
Engage Customers
According to a recent study conducted by Network Solutions and the Center for Excellence in
Service at the University of Maryland’s Robert H.
Smith School of Business, the expectations
small businesses have for social media is changing.
Approximately one quarter of small businesses are now marketing via social media however, the
use of social media by small businesses has declined to 24% after rising steeply, according to the
abovementioned study.
The reasons that small businesses may not be finding the success they expected with social
