1 Volume47 September 2014 Executive Secretary-Treasurer wendy.tippetts@iiabi.org IIABI PRESIDENT MARILYN RYLAARSDAM-SCHOO Inaugural August 5, 2014 "There are risks and costs to a program of action. But they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction." John F Kennedy. As I looked to set a theme for this convention and the coming year, I considered several things. First and foremost the core values of my life, my faith in God, the importance of my family, and also my business. What would that concept be and how could I incorporate all of the important foundational items into this event as well as my coming year serving as your President. I stopped to reflect on what this Association has provided me in the past 27 years as an Independent Agent and many, many fond memories flooded my thoughts.
