Each year, the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Queensland recognises outstanding achievement through its Awards for Excellence, including the particular achievements of the professional consultants and suppliers who make high-quality development outcomes possible. Held annually, the UDIA (Qld) Awards for Excellence is the Queensland urban development industry’s premier event. Winners of the state Awards for Excellence then go on to become finalists in the UDIA National Awards for Excellence. The UDIA (Qld) Awards for Excellence magazine lists the winners and finalists of the 17 award categories, as well as the coveted State President’s Award. With a circulation of 2850 copies, the awards issue is direct mailed to the UDIA (Qld) membership, which comprises developers, engineers, architects, government departments, home builders, professional consultants, material suppliers, financiers and local authorities.
