Questions Abound As Spring Football Begins
One day before a Sweet 16 tip-off against
Kentucky, Ohio State’s locker room had
resembled a grade-school classroom on the
last day before summer break.
With the
top-seeded Buckeyes preparing for a March
25 showdown against the fourth-seeded
Wildcats at the Prudential Center in Newark,
N.
J.
, the team showed no outward signs of
feeling pressure.
At one end of the locker room was a
dry-erase board featuring a perspective
drawing in red marker.
Flanking a street
drawn right down the middle were a few
buildings along with a tree or two added
for good measure by freshman Aaron Craft
after Dallas Lauderdale had started the
drawing.
The burst of creativity came as
the Buckeyes were forced to pass about 45
minutes before they could take the court
for practice.
