Writing for business proposals requires knowledge of copy writing technique.
It involves dexterity
to deal with critical topics discussed.
Pricing is one such crucial issue discussed in an offer letter.
I have come across many business proposal letters that first lay stress on benefits and unique
features of the products or services of an enterprise.
Such letters leave price for the last few pages.
My personal experience has been that whenever I come across any proposal, I first flip through the
pages and find out the price of the contract or the offer made to me.
If I find it higher than my
expectations or budget, I simply dump the letter somewhere I never get to see again.
I have also found out that it is beneficial if a writer first mentions the price or expenditure of the
total offer to a customer.
Another important point is not to use the word ‘price’, ‘cost’ or
‘expenditure’ anywhere.
