Nepal Orphans Home (NOH) rescues children from extreme poverty and exploitation, ensuring
that their physical, personal, and educational needs are met so that they can realize their full
potential.
Almost 60 children live in NOH s two homes in Dhapasi, located on the outskirts of
Kathmandu.
These children are orphans and children whose parents have abandoned them or are
unable to provide for them.
Another 25 children live at NOH s home in Lamahi, located in the
central Terai region in southern Nepal.
The children at the Lamahi home
are rescued kamlari girls who were sold by their families into domestic
servitude, factory work, and other forms of indentured labor.
In June 2008, NOH implemented a poster project enabling the children at
its three homes to depict through their artwork how they envision a world
without exploitive child labor.
