I am Elvina, your host for this evening and
today we have a very busy show with three important guests that are here to inform us on what is
going on in our society.
We will be talking about INGSOC today and how our society has adapted
to this social life.
We will also be discussing Newspeak, Doublethink and mutability of the past with
our guests.
INGSOC is the English socialism in our society today.
It denotes the political ideology of
our totalitarian government in Oceania.
Ingsoc demands the complete submission – mental, moral
and physical – of the people in order to achieve the Party’s goals.
Ingsoc is a masterfully complex
system of psychological control that compels confession to imagined crimes and the forgetting of
rebellious thought in order to love Big Brother and The Party over oneself.
