What is a Trial?
A trial is a test.
It is a test of the will, of the
spirit, of the mind and the soul.
A trial is a
humbling way to learn about yourself and what
you are made of.
Will I crumble? Will I fail? Will I survive this?
Can I survive this? Who can I turn to? Is God
listening? Why doesn’t He answer my prayers?
Does anyone care? All these huge questions
combined with the knot in the pit of my
stomach.
The desire to end this chapter of life
and begin a new springtime.
I look at others
and hear their chatter.
They look through me.
I
want to scream, to cry, to rant and rave.
I want
to crawl into bed and cover up my head.
But I
can’t.
God has a great work in store for me.
I
will never find the destiny He has designed for
me if I turn away…give up…falter or simply
quit.
This trial is here for a reason.
And one
day, some day, I will understand that this time of
my greatest trial, was also one of my life’s
greatest gifts.
