Why is diet important?
And why is God so concerned about our health?
Because the human body is a “temple.
” That’s
right; it is a sacred place where God establishes His
dwelling.
The individual, and not just the church, is
a temple for the Holy Spirit.
The apostle Paul offered
this reminder: “Do you not know that your body is
the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom
you have from God, and you are not your own? For
you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in
your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1
Corinthians 6:19, 20).
How do we apply these biblical principles to our
nutritional choices? Here are a few simple rules:
1.
As far as possible, eat foods in their natural
form.
Fried, sautéed, and even roasted foods
add harmful ingredients that undermine
good health.
2.
Make fresh fruits and vegetables the main
stay of your diet.
