Frank Borczak (at far left
in photo) entered
Friendly Adult Day Care
& Respite Center in
August of 1995.
He was
a widower, was suffering
from dementia and
prostate cancer.
He had
a set of natural children
who were at war with
the step-children, one of
whom was Frank’s legal
guardian.
The natural
children blamed Frank
for remarrying after the
death of their mother a
woman whom they say
wanted nothing to do
with them and who
favored her own children
over them.
Frank also
stayed in the overnight respite center associated with the adult day care center.
Think about the challenges involved
ensuring all of his children and step-children remained civil during visits and otherwise.
