It just makes sense for the
Veterans Administration to pay
for adult day health care.
After
all these are the programs that
keep families together,
combine needed services and
often allow a disabled veteran
to stay at home with caring
family.
These services are not just paid for when rendered in veteran’s
homes or other veteran’s facilities.
They can be rendered by
community based organizations.
The actual language from the
Department of Veterans Affairs is: Home and Community-based
Care (HCBC).
HCBC consists of programs that manage care in
veterans’ homes and community settings.
Services include —
adult day healthcare
community nursing home care
home-based primary care
home hospice care
home IV therapy
home telehealth care
respite care
skilled and unskilled home care
