Many parents are convinced their child with Autism will never be able to work.
They do not
see how their child will get a job, learn a job, or keep a job.
Because they can not figure these
things out parents do not even consider employment.
The answer to some of these concerns is the meaning of carving out a job .
Carving out a job
means someone looks at all the job responsibilities in a department or a store.
Then that
someone looks at the tasks that the person with Autism can do.
This someone is usually a job
developer or sometimes family members.
Parents usually wonder why we need to carve out jobs.
One of the answers is that children
with disabilities see their parents go to work.
