Teaching Social Skills To Children With Autism
One of the important things to learn is how to behave in front of the opposite sex.
This is also
an important skill for our children with Autism to learn.
There are several techniques that
seem to help with this area.
Of course the skills should be close to their age level.
One of those techniques is to get a child with Autism to sit with same sex peers in groups.
Then later you or other people can discuss how other members of the group acted towards the
opposite sex.
This will have to be done many times.
The amount of times this situation might have to be repeated depends on the skill that has to
be learned.
