swung open.
I was the chief administrator.
Mark was
my deputy.
By January 18th
there were 6 residents.
I
remember them like it was yesterday, there were 4
males Mr.
Alton Haskins, Mr.
Frank Borszak, Mr.
Eugene White and Mr.
Eugene Sanders (who is
pictured to the lower left) and 2 females Ms.
Gertrude Wiltz and Ms.
Margaret Quarles.
It was a
busy and fast paced time.
Within two weeks we took
in the mother of Joe Webster, who at that time was
head of licensing for adult foster care in Michigan;
talk about pressure!
Having to admit 7 residents in less than 5 weeks was
a fast education.
This was especially noteworthy
since this was our first venture into an assisted living
business having spent the previous few years in adult
day care, home care, medical needs transpo
