Soft golden rays of light filled the forest with warm sunlight. Gentle gray clouds floated carelessly by on the cool breeze, and the tender young leaves danced on the trees. Everything was alive here, from the paperbark maples to the young bamboo shoots that were beginning to grow in the damp soil.
