INTRODUCTION
Since the second half of the ninetieth century the language
teaching profession has been in search of a single method that can be
successfully applied in different contexts and with different types of
learners.
This quest saw the emerging of a myriad of methods based
on theoretical assumptions that reflect contemporary developments in
disciplines such as psychology and linguistic.
