How the Vehicle AC Compressor Fails ?
A compressor is the most valuable item that gives the cooling system to the vehicle.
In this
there are two sides known as the high pressure side and the low pressure side.
The suction
side known as the intake, draws in refrigerant gas from the evaporator, it is compressed and
sent to the condenser.
Then it goes through various items in the system like the condenser,
evaporator, pressure regulating device, orifice tube, valve for thermal expansion, receiver
drier and then to the accumulator.
AC compressors have failures and the most common are the time and hours of operation of
the AC compressor and abuse of the system.
There is a failure of the system due to leaky
compressor or O-ring.
In case of failure, check the compressor engagement and when the
AC is turned on if the magnetic clutch is not engaging, the problem will be a blown fuse or
a wiring problem.
Bald bearing can create a short.
The insulation can damage the rotor and the compres
