Diabetics are classified in two types, Type-1 and Type-2.

Type-1 diabetes (the one that affects juveniles) is an autoimmune diseases which
basically means the body fights against itself.
The body mistakenly recognizes its own
cells as being bad especially those in the pancreas (insulin producing cells).
Insulin serves the purpose of converting sugar to glucose and then into energy.
Excess
sugar in the body can damage organs especially the eyes and if it remains too high, it can
