in my head this time of year,
and reminds me that we are in
a season of transitions.

Dear Friends,
That little rhyme gets stuck
in my head this time of year,
and reminds me that we are in
a season of transitions.
The
cloudy, rainy skies of March
and April will now give way to
May’s sunny blue skies.
Spring is well underway, and
summer will soon be upon us.
We are indeed in a season of transitions!
Yet the weather is not the only thing changing at this time of year.
I am
facing many changes in my own life as well.
In just a few short weeks, I
will be graduating from seminary, having completed four years of study
there.
I will admit, there is a sense of joy and relief now that I am finally
finished! Just a week after that, I will be commissioned as a provisional
elder by the Eastern PA Conference of The United Methodist Church.
This,
too, is the culmination of a long journey, and marks a new stage of my life
and ministry!
As a church family, we will also be experiencing some changes and
transitions in the coming months.
