SUMMARY: the goal of this work is to develop and test new technique for identification of
different type of post-consumer plastics. Non-contact ultrasound identification technique is
based on the reflection of acoustic waves with frequency in the ultrasound range. Two-sensors
measuring system without a direct contact between the measuring transducer and the identified
object (working media air) is used for experiments: the acoustic wave generated by the
transmitter falls in the measuring media, is reflected and comes back as echo to the receiver; then
