Goal-setting is one of those things that people, it seems, are near unanimous on its importance to life, career, success, achievement. Many speakers and consultants quote the infamous ‘Yale Case Study’ as “proof” of the importance of goal-setting. This paper explodes the myth of the ‘Yale Study’ yet finds out that there is some real evidence that goal setting does give you an advantage. I include a template for you to start the process of SMARTening up your goals.
