An UN Conference will define world’s objectives to reduce the action of greenhouse gases.

come into operation in 2012, in order to substitute Kyoto’s Protocol.
On December, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Changes (UNFCCC) will reunite 192 countries in Copenhagen, Denmark at the 15
th
Conference of Parts, the COP-15, to make a new agreement to substitute the old one, the Kyoto Protocol.
This was signed in 1997 and ratified by 179 countries between 1998 and 2005.
Kyoto’s protocol determines that all the
signatories countries must reduce its emissions of CO2 equivalents at least 5.
2% of 1990’s data until 2012.
COP-15’s purpose is
to determine what the governments will do to reduce greenhouse gases emissions.
