A Nation United Under One Blanket
There is a movement under way to give away 1,000,000 blankets to the needy this year.
Inspired by President Obama’s message of our patchwork heritage, Blanket America is
under way.
The purchase of each keepsake quilt will ensure the donation of a warm
blanket to the less fortunate.
Blanket America (see www.

com coming soon) is a program inspired by
this message of unity.
The program offers a heritage quilt with a fabric patchwork design
on the front, with the words of the President’s January 20th
, 2009 address on the reverse.
This keepsake quilt represents our unity and generous spirit as a nation.
For each quilt purchased a blanket will be donated through Gifts In Kind International.
The goal is to reach as many of the 35 million Americans who live in poverty as possible
with a message of caring and support and a practical gift of warmth.
