Blanket America Is helping the Poor In Haiti.
Since the disaster, International Action staffs in Washington D.
C.
and Haiti have been developing a set up for
delivering drinking water to as several individuals in poor Haiti as possible.
Since the Earthquake 10 days ago, an Yankee non-governmental cluster has developed a system which delivers
clean water to 150,000 residents of the poor Haitian capital every day.
International Action has located twenty eight water storage tanks in Port-au-Prince neighborhoods which are
undamaged and able to hold a minimum of 1000 gallons.
The cluster is now paying native water truck drivers to
fill these tanks within the poorest components of the city.
International Action staffs are adding chlorine to every truckload of water.
Every truck holds 3000 gallons of
water and will create 5 journeys on a daily basis to several components of the city.
So so much, International
Action is renting 10 trucks each day and plans on renting still more as road
