Author: Stanley Casson (Brentford, Middlesex, 7 May 1889 – 17 April 1944, at sea, off the coast of Cornwall) || Publication Data: Washington, District of Columbia, 1943 || Note: Lieut. Col. Stanley Casson, service number 98094, an intelligence officer attached to the Special Operations Executive, was killed on 17 April 1944 when the Vickers Warwick aircraft, on which he was travelling as a passenger en route to Greece, crashed into the sea, during takeoff, off the coast of Cornwall.
