AutoCAD Mechanical has added extras to the standard
AutoCAD.
These extras are aimed at and are certainly
helpful for designing in a mechanical field.
AutoCAD
Mechanical supports eight main standards-based drafting
environments: ANSI, BSI, CSN, DIN, GB, GOST, ISO, and
JIS.
In this program: • There are more than 700,000 standard predrawn parts (screws, nuts, washers, pins,
rivets, circlips, bearings, seals, springs,
bushings and more).
• It also includes 100,000 predrawn standard
features like undercuts, keyways, threaded
holes, and thread ends.
• When you insert standard parts into a drawing,
AutoCAD Mechanical cleans up the insertion
area automatically to show hidden lines etc.
• You can also use the calculator in the Screw
Connection dialog box to calculate and analyze
the load and stress of the tightening screws.
• Spring, shaft, bearing calculations
• Finite Element Analysis
• Detailing is made easier
and more.
