For decades Autodesk has been consistently updating its AutoCAD product. The package now comes in many exotic flavours especially enhanced for different types of Architect or Engineer. All of those specialised packages however have basic ‘vanilla’ AutoCAD at their core. Therefore although this review is for the basic no-frills AutoCAD 2010, all the points made here are just as relevant to all the other packages based upon it. Red circles save you having to hunt around for the gaps that need closing before you can apply a hatch fill. Autodesk has retained and improved on the Office 2007 style Ribbon interface introduced last year. This logically ordered system makes it easier for newer users to find the features they need, and generally quicker for the more experienced.
