AutoCAD 2010 – SOFTWARE REVIEW
For the past two years I have been using AutoCAD 2008 [on a Windows 2000 operating system]
having previously upgraded from LT2000.
The improved features were numerous and I still
discover new commands to this day.
I have AutoCAD 2009 on a laptop but use it too
infrequently to have really benefited from it.
I needed an XP or later operating system or a
second workstation.
I took the plunge and had one built.
I loaded my new AutoCAD 2010 but went straight into problems with insufficient hardware
capabilities.
Beware – your system needs to be SS2E compliant.
I had an older ‘amd’ processor
but needed an Intel Pentium 4 or later.
I was also deficient in RAM so had to upgrade to 2gb.
Now up and running, so here we go.
Remember to migrate settings, from your earlier version, which saves a lot of time.
However, it
doesn’t inherit mouse ‘right-click’ customisation.
Click the drop down arrow next to the big A –
application button.
