Medicine
The Goal of these series of lectures is to understand the
basics of immunology, pathogenesis of different
immunological diseases and the role of laboratory medicine
in the diagnosis and follow up of immune mediated
diseases.
The schedule of lectures:
• Duration:
Four days, each day includes 3 lectures and duration of
each lecture 90min.
(total of 4 1/2 hrs) +30min
discussion.
Total of 12 lectures and 20 hours.
• Subjects:
-Preanalytical variations and venepuctures.
-Immunological reactions;( precipitation reactions,immuoelectrophoresis
Immunofixation).
(In addition to Practical demonstration)
-Applications in diagnosis of immunological diseases.
-Immune response
-Immune tolerance and auto-immune disease(AID).
-Role of laboratory medicine in the immunological diagnosis
of AID.
- Immunodeficiency.
-Evaluation of immune system by laboratory tests.
-Basics of immunogenetics and HLA system.
