This is a step-by-step procedure for changing the way your website looks in SharePoint.
This lesson will teach you how to make your site in SharePoint look different from the original template.
Web Parts

Your website in SharePoint is made up Web Parts.
To see the Web
Parts and add others, go to Site Actions and Edit Page.
Anytime you
want to change the page, you will go to Edit Page.
Then website will
look like this with the Web Parts showing.
You will see there are two
“zones,” the Left and Right.

Web Parts can be moved around by clicking on the bar across the top of the Web Part when you see
the 4-headed arrow, holding down and moving.
You will see a line going with you.
In the
screen shot on the next page, it is orange.
The color changes with Site Theme color
changes.
Wherever you see the line when you release is where the Web Part is moved.
It can be
moved from Right zone to Left zone and vice versa.
