Index notes: The title of this album is misleading as it relates only to the title on the souvenir cover (9th December, 1912) pasted onto the inside cover and a single photograph. The contents are principally photographs of scenery and stage sets in St. Nicholas’ Church Hall, Millmead Terrace, Guildford, which in the late 19th century was used as a theatre for amateur stage productions.
This album, which contains an Appendix, displays a colour reproduction of an Act Drop at the London Colliseum by the artist Byam Shaw. The tableau features historical and contemporary figures from the worlds of Drama, Literature and Art. A key to 101 names is given.
Index created by R.K. Pawsey, 2005.
