Equals Freedom

The key to defeating Satan is truly believing he exists and recognizing we’re utterly
powerless against him without God’s intervention. It’s as simple as that. But being
aware of this and actually doing it is one of the most challenging and difficult undertakings a believer faces in securing a victorious Christian life.
There are two problems making this especially
hard to accomplish: submitting to God, and believing
Satan actually exists. Submitting to anyone, even God,
goes against everything we’re taught from birth. As
Christians we want to do God’s will, but we still want
to be in control and decide how and when we do it.
And when it comes to resisting Satan? We can’t win
a battle if we don’t believe the enemy exists.
Naturally most nonbelievers don’t think Satan
exists, but oddly many Christians don’t believe in
him either. This is perplexing. For the same scriptures
