Louisiana Annual Conference are
“rethinking” outreach and hospitality
with new approaches within their communities.
The month of September was truly
“Open House Month” at Loranger United
Methodist Church.
Every Sunday in this Baton Rouge
District church featured a special theme
or activity designed to attract seekers and
to reach out to the community at large.
“Each week was sponsored by a different group within the church,” said Rev.
John Deschner, pastor of Loranger UMC.
“These groups covered the cost of food
and materials needed to put on the events
we planned.
”
On Round-Up Sunday, held Sept.

worshippers and visitors were invited to
wear Western-themed clothing.
