A fact finding mission to Senegal in
early November turned into a life changing experience for United Methodist
team members from the Louisiana
Annual Conference.
“We learned about the wonderful
things that The United Methodist Church
is already doing in this poverty-stricken
area of Africa.
But we also got a first
hand glimpse of the overwhelming need
that volunteers and staff face every single day,” said Rev.

Martha Orphe,
director of Multicultural Ministries for
