Sequoyah / 12 On April 29, a group of volunteers
spent the day assembling health kits,
flood buckets and school kits at Sager
Brown, the UMCOR depot in Baldwin,
La.
This was no ordinary group.
The 30member two consisted of 17 family
members, two LAVIM staff persons and
11 employees of the United Methodist
Foundation of Louisiana.
They were all there for the same reason—to remember their family member
and friend, Sheila Edwards.
Edwards was a long-time LAVIM
volunteer who worked hard, had a big
heart, and loved the mission of Sager
Brown.
Tragically, Edwards, at the age
of 41, passed away in January of this
year.
Sheila made a tremendous impact on
her co-workers at the Foundation office.
