Reading an article recently on Xerox and their concept of ‘Recycling Learning’ led me to explore a number of
articles on the topic.
The term itself is very much open to interpretation.
On the surface, it’s quite an attractive
term, given our raised consciousness on consumption and reuse (plus of course a need to stretch a diminishing
budget!).
However, it is often used as a precursor to simply describing a way to delivering the same message
using a different format.
Now of course, that in itself is not necessarily a bad thing, often the
learning medium is not a good match for the desired learning outcome .
For example - is an hour long e-learning module really the best way to
engage your people on the topic of effective change management?
