Recognized around the world as a symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower was built for the Paris World Exposition, held in 1889 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. Named after its designer, Gustave Eiffel, plans for this 320-meter tower and its steel structure and unconventional design encountered initial resistance from devotees of Paris’s historic streetscape. Today, it is a designated World Heritage Site and one of the top sightseeing destinations in Paris. Front http://www. canon. com/c-park/en/ This model can be built in a total of three ways. In

The ChristChurch Cathedral stands in the center of Christchurch, the largest city on New Zealand s South Island. Construction began in 1864, under the supervision of local architect Benjamin Mountfort, and the project required 40 years for completion. The building itself is a representative example of the Neo-Gothic style, and the interior is distinguished by soaring roof supports that resemble the hull of a ship. Local totara and matai timber was used for these massive beams. Cathedral Square, the open plaza surrounding the cathedral, is a favorite gathering place for local residents and visitors alike. Horyuji Temple was built in 607 AD and is the oldest wooden architecture in the world. The five-storied pagoda located next to the Golden Pavillion in the west monastery is a wooden tower in the style preferred in the Asuka Period (end of the 6th century to early 7th century) and constructed to enshrine the bones of Buddha. A core pillar stands from the ground to the topmost part in the center of the pagoda, supporting the entire tower as tall as 31. 5m. This is one of the historical relics of Angkor in Cambodia and is said to be a typical Khmer architecture. It is considered that King Suryavarman the Second of the Angkor Dynasty began the construction in the early 12th century, and it took around 30 years to complete the presently remaining structures. It consists of 540m long west approach, triple cloisters and 5 spires surrounding the main shrine with a 65m high central spire. It is believed that it was originally constructed as a Hindu temple, and King Sota in later period converted it to a Buddhist temple.
