This document describes the requirments and the detailed step-by-step procedure necessary to plan and perform a domain rename operation. The checklists of the various tasks to be performed during the different phases of this procedure are summarized in Appendix B. Suggested worksheet formats for a variety of worksheets that can be used for gathering relevant information about the Active Directory infrastructure for planning and for tracking progress as the domain rename operation progresses are also included in Appendix B.
