Mala Pier, near the Cannery Mall is one of the best scuba diving sites on Maui Mala Pier is undoubtedly one of the shore dive site on Maui. The dock is in Lahaina close to the Canary Mall. When you are driving along the highway coming from Kaanapali back to Kahului you can see the pier on the right as you enter Lahina. This is an easy boat dive and a reasonably trouble-free shore dive (the only complexity is the access if you go over the reef on the seward side of the pier ). The dive site depth ranges from 3 to 5 meters and you can usually stay over 60 minutes on this dive site with no problems depending upon your air consumption.
