First Aid for Owners for Their Dogs
It is important to know what to do.
The first aid below is only a small sample
and does not cover every situation.
Constipation: A dog, which is constipated, fails to empty its bowels and the waste matter is
absorbed back into the blood stream.
Constipation should be treated with Agaroll or a similar
purgative.
If this treatment does not cure the condition, veterinary advice will be necessary.
Coughs: Coughing in dogs may be caused by an obstruction of the throat in which case removal of
the obstruction will prevent further coughing.
Dogs with heart or lung disorders may cough as a
result of these disorders.
Diarrhoea: Frequent passage of abnormally soft faeces is known as diarrhoea.
While the most
common cause is incorrect feeding, it can also be a symptom of distemper, gastroenteritis or worms.
Dogs with diarrhoea should be placed on a diet of carbohydrates and dosed with Kao Magna.
If
symptoms persist, veterinary advice should be sought.
