Bryngwyn School Achieves the Eco Schools Green Flag Award
During July 2012, Bryngwyn was successful in
gaining the Eco Schools Green Flag Award which
is an international achievement! Bryngwyn was
awarded a ‘Grade A’ in Litter which means that
we are officially Litter Free!
The Eco Schools Assessor commented on the fact
that the pupils were knowledgeable and very keen
to present their hard earned efforts in a more
efficient school.
The Assessor was also particularly
impressed with the high number of pupils actively
involved in keeping the school clean.
The Assessors are eager to find out how the new
pond planned for Ellis Woods will turn out and how
the woodland area develops.
In the future, the
pond will be beneficial not only to wildlife but also to
learning at Bryngwyn with pupils able to study the
wildlife it encourages.
We are all very proud of Miss Kara Rees, Teacher in
Charge of Biology and Bryngwyn’s Eco Committee
for this prestigious achievement.
