Home to the New York Stock Exchange, the 8-block-long New York Financial District known as

to this day.
In a conceptual sense, Wall Street represents financial and economic power and, to Americans, it
can sometimes represent power politics that inspires a great controversy.

Street finance practices were blamed as one of the major causes of the mortgage crisis.
The actual, literal Wall Street runs from Broadway to South Street.
Its architecture is primarily
representative of the Gilded Age although there are some art deco influences in the neighborhood.
