Basic slow fuse for up to 50cm square with an even thickness of 6mm. Slow rise to avoid thermal shock,
hold at 677°C for bubble squeeze and to even out the temperature. Open kiln below 40°C.
2 – BASIC SLUMP
Runtime = 12 hrs
RATE TEMP HOLD
Segment 1 167°C ( 300°F ) → 663°C (1225°F ) 10 min
Segment 2 999°C ( AFAP°F ) → 482°C ( 900°F ) 60 min
Segment 3 56°C ( 100°F ) → 371°C ( 700°F ) End
Basic Slump for 6mm thickness, non-complex slumping mould. For complex moulds, the hold time can
be increased by up to 50 min and (if necessary) the temperature by 20°C.
3 – BASIC TACK
Runtime = 12 hrs
RATE TEMP HOLD
