Opposite osmosis is a
successful and relatively simple procedure, using a tissue layer and stress, to store for later or
immediate use.
Pre-Treatment
The Opposite Osmosis procedure starts with pre-filtration of the resource water.
Pre-filtration
allows large particles and pollutants in the water to be easily removed before attaining the tissue
layer used in the RO Plant.
By filtration, the life expectancy of the semi-permeable tissue layer
applied by the RO device is increased through the prevention of blocking.
If substances are allowed to obtain too much on the tissue layer, the potency of the procedure is
reduced and there will be a recognizable drop in stress between stages.
