Steve Jobs was a very erratic, unpredictable man.
His personality, though at times useful, resulted
in some dislike between him and his employees.
John Sculley, who originally worked for PepsiCola, was recruited by Steve Jobs in 1983.
Jobs drew him away from Pepsi-Cola to become
Apple s new CEO.
However, Jobs and Sculley s working relationship was distorted near the end of
1984, when an industry-wide sales drop occurred.
This event caused many layoffs, as well as
disheartening sales performance.
As you can imagine, this resulted in major stress among Apple
employees.
Soon after, a power struggle developed between Jobs and Sculley.
