Regular and punctual patterns of attendance are expected of each student enrolled in the district.
Student attendance at school is primarily the responsibility of the parents/guardians and students.
Frequent absences of students from regular classroom learning experiences disrupt the continuity of the
instructional process.
When the benefit of regular classroom instruction is lost it cannot be entirely
regained.
The entire process of education requires a regular continuity of instruction, classroom
participation, learning experiences, and study in order to reach the goal of maximum educational benefits
for each individual child.
The regular contact of the pupils with one another in the classroom and their
participation in well-planned instructional activity under the supervision of a competent teacher are vital
to this purpose.
Attendance and punctuality play a significant role in a student’s success at school and
are essential life skills.
