Learn more about the duties of Social Security Disability Attorneys
When a person is afflicted with a psychological or physical disability such that he may
not be in a position to do any kind of work for at least a year or for the rest of his
life, then the person will be treated as disabled for Social Security purposes.
Under
Social Security Disability program a disabled person is entitled to a Federal income
supplement funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security taxes).
As a disabled covered by Social Security statutes, a person is eligible for any one of
the four separate benefit programs guaranteed by the state.
These include Social
Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income, Disabled
Widows and Widowers benefits (DWB), and Disabled Adult Child Benefits (DAC).
To
be eligible for each of these programs, you need to undergo similar medical tests for
disability determinations.
A disabled person is entitled for benefits prescribed under SSDI statute
