Abstract
Physico-chemical characteristics of water samples collected from 15 hand pumps from Vadasery,
Chettikulam and Kottar of Nagercoil Town were analyzed for ground water quality assessments.
The
pH of the bore water from study area slightly acidic, where as total alkalinity, total hardness, Nitrate,
Sodium, Pottasium, Iron and Phosphate showed above the permissible limit.
Key Words: Water contamination, Nitrate, Fluoride, Physico-chemical.
