Other people call this place Elephant Cave, which is shaped like a “T”.

believe that the cave was constructed in the earlier part of the 11th
century.
This cave used to be an ancient monastery for Buddhist and Hindu monks
and they used it as a venue for meditation.
The face of the cave is intricately
designed with ancient inhabitants carving the stone walls with a demon head
breaking the rock open with its bare hands.
GunungKawi
Gunung Kawi consists of 11th
century tombs, which were carved out of the
wall of Pakerisan River’s gorge.
Historians say that the tombs were built to
somehow commemorate King Anak Wungsu.
There are other impressive
tombs as well across the gorge.
Besakih Temple
This temple is considered to be Bali’s Mother Temple and it is said to be the
