Mann of The Woodlands highlighted a nine-person class inducted
at a gala dinner at San Antonio CC.
members of the Class of 1997, pro golfer and Dallas native
Lee Elder, and late austin amateur Morris Williams Jr.
, were
also formally inducted by the recently reconstituted hall of Fame,
which will be housed at nearby Brackenridge Park GC.
Former President George W.
Bush, whose father is a member,
began the night with a video salute to the inductees.
“one of the joys of the post-presidency is getting to play some
of america’s greatest courses,” he said.
